Fan Fair 2007
Hello All,
Buzzing and I learned a lot from going to Fan Faire last week, and just wanted to
share with you some of the new information we learned.
*Rise of Kunark Info
New massive raid zone: Veeshan's Peak with 11 new raid encounters.
New zones are very large and the starting area alone is 2x the size of
Commonlands.
As of right now the Sarnak (new race) are evil, and the city will be considered
neutral with a lean towards evil…but this is still in the air.
New mount: rhinos. Plus some new horses and armored wargs will become
available.
No new heritage quests will be added, though the epic weapons quests are in.
No new AA's. But we will be getting an ability where we can store an AA "profile"
using a house item and switch AA profiles whenever we like.
Three gods returning - Bertoxxulus, the Tribunal, and Karana.
Expansion area will have content from 1-30 and 65-80 mostly.
Sarnaks get a racial ability - Fire Breath.
*General/Into the Future Info
Instead of 14 levels, moves will be upgraded every 10 levels.
Similar spells/CA's (mainly buffs and debuffs) will be combined to free space.
Crusader/bard buffs are being changed to be raid-wide buffs
Guild halls: They will be instanced zones. Each guild will get access to one, and
as you level your guild up you will get the ability to expand your guild hall.
Layered clothing slots…so you can have one slot to wear your armor in, and
another to wear your "appearance" clothing in.
New larger map system, including a mini-map. (will work with EQ2 Maps)
New combat music that is adaptive and dynamic. Change with what you are
fighting/winning/lossing
*Legends of Norrath
New online card game that is a lot like Magic: the Gathering. EQ and EQ2 players
will be able to play it while in game, and play it across games/servers. Players
can buy cards or loot them. Some cards can be used and claimed as a reward
item via /claim.
We also got to meet some of the other players on Butcherblock! We has a
wonderful time and look forward to going again next year =D
Happy Adventuring,
Bluejay
